Quentin Tarantino opens up on shooting s*x scenes
Quentin Tarantino is known for making movies characterized by stylized violence and extended dialogue. It includes the use of profanity and references to popular culture. However, he feels he has some issues in shooting s*x scenes. He shared in an interview with Spanish magazine Diari ARA regarding his thoughts on intimate scenes as he feels they do not add much value to his films.
He shared,
“And the truth is that, in real life, it’s a pain to shoot s*x scenes. Everyone is very tense.”
Tarantino also shared that these kinds of scenes would be difficult to shoot in the present social climate,
“If it was already a bit problematic to do it before, now it is even more so. If there had ever been an s*x scene that was essential to the story, I would have, but so far, it hasn’t been necessary.”
Some of the biggest hit films of Tarantino include Inglourious Basterds, The Hateful Eight, Desperado, etc.
Quentin Tarantino talked about his 10-movie plan
The director had once shared a plan that he wishes to make 10 movies before his retirement. He shared with Deadline,
“I like that I will leave a 10-film filmography, and so I’ve got two more to go after this. It’s not etched in stone, but that is the plan. If I get to the tenth, do a good job, and don’t screw it up, well, that sounds like a good way to end the old career. If, later on, I come across a good movie, I won’t do it just because I said I wouldn’t. But 10 and done, leaving them wanting more — that sounds right.”
In March, the director confided in The Hollywood Reporter that four years after his last film, Once Upon a Time….. in Hollywood, he had started working on his 10th film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script for that film is ready, and production should start soon in LA. As per the news from the past weeks, the Reservoir Dogs director has started working on his tenth feature film, The Movie Critic.
Tarantino is one of the most celebrated and respected directors of this generation. He has been awarded two Oscars for best screenplay.
