Masashi Kishimoto has created uncountable jutsus for Naruto characters. Some of them are so powerful that it’s a spectacle to watch. However, the most iconic among them would be Naruto’s Sexy Jutsu.

This jutsu was introduced right at the beginning of the anime, and fans immediately found out how naughty Naruto was as a kid. Sexy Justu was a menace to begin with, as Naruto terrorized his mentors with it. But it became a formidable move once he combined it with the Shadow Clone Jutsu.

In an interview, Masashi Kishimoto was asked which jutsu was the one that came to his mind for the first time. Yahagi, Kishimoto’s editor, answered that the first jutsu drawn was the Transformation Technique or Henge no Justu. This particular jutsu is used to disguise one person as someone completely different. It can also turn the user into a plant, animal, or inanimate object.

Masashi Kishimoto then explained that the Shadow Clone Jutsu and Sexy Jutsu were born based on the basic Transformation Jutsu. The Shadow Clone Jutsu might seem similar to Transformation Jutsu, but is actually different since the user can only make clones of himself with the former jutsu, while the latter helps transform into any kind of living or non-living being.

But Kishimoto had something more to say about the “original” jutsu:

If you mean ‘original’, it’s the “Oiroke no Jutsu”, of course. I think it has also more entertainment than the “Henge no Jutsu”.

Transformation and Shadow Clone Jutsu are techniques that are quite common in other ninja anime/manga. Masashi Kishimoto only used the pre-existing typical ninja moves for the first few jutsu. But then he created the iconic Sexy Jutsu, which is not only Naruto’s but also Masashi Kishmoto’s original technique.

After causing chaos with Sexy Jutsu, Masashi Kishimoto was not done with his original creation, and wanted to expand more on it. In episode 2 of Naruto, another new technique debuted: the Harem no Jutsu. As if the shinobi of Konohagakure were not tired of Sexy Jutsu already, Kishimoto had to add another nightmare for them. But as it turns out, the concept of Harem Jutsu was not welcomed with open arms at the very beginning.

When I suggested the “Oiroke no Jutsu” that appeared last time, how about we make it a “Harem no Jutsu” by combining it with the “Kage Bunshin no Jutsu”? during the preparatory meeting, Yahagi-san laughed, and then he said, “How about we start this meeting seriously?”

Of course, no professional editor would take the concept of Harem Jutsu seriously. The jutsu is created by combining Naruto’s Sexy Jutsu with the Shadow Clone Technique. Naruto first makes several clones of himself, and each of them transforms into Sexy Jutsu, thus making a harem of alluring women.

Masashi Kishimoto then admitted that when he had first proposed the concept, even he found it ridiculous and did not take it too seriously. But the author proposed it again later, out of pure desperation, and surprisingly, it was approved. Yahagi san suddenly wanted to give Harem no Jutsu a try.

Even I had said it as a joke, but when I proposed it again out of desperation, it became “Let’s give it a try,” and when I tried to draw it, I managed to make him say, “Interesting.” It’s a profoundly memorable technique.

Ultimately, the Harem no Jutsu was accepted into the ranks of the shinobi jutsu list. Naruto uses this technique whenever he has to defeat a person with a lesser mental fortitude, and every time, it works wonders.
