Talking about the stunt scenes involved in the movie, Scarlett Johansson talked about how amazing Florence Pugh was during the filming of several of the scenes. Stating how she has a talent for making things nonchalant, the actress was all praise for the Midsommar star.

Scarlett Johansson Has A Deep Admiration For Florence Pugh

Working alongside the actress back in 2021, Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh had quite a fun time behind the scenes of Black Widow. With Pugh being a protege of Johansson in the movie, the two behaved like actual sisters but the Jojo Rabbit actress found Florence Pugh to be too much talented.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the actress talked about how Pugh would be talking about the most random of things before the director would yell “action!” and they would be suspended via wires. Stating how she deeply admired that quality of Florence Pugh, Johansson was all praise for her co-star.

“Two seconds later, we were just connected to each other, hanging on by this thread for life. I was like, this person is just absolutely…she just has it. She’s so keyed in. It’s an emotional availability. It’s a really rare quality, and it’s the star quality she has.”

Comparing herself to the young actress, The Prestige actress observed how Hollywood has changed over the years. Stating that the Don’t Worry Darling actress was really comfortable in her skin, Johansson recalled her early days in the film industry.

Comparing her initial days in Hollywood and how much Florence Pugh feels comfortable in the industry now, Scarlett Johansson recounted that Hollywood has changed over the years. Stating how the actress is already comfortable in her own skin, here’s what Johansson had to say to Harper’s Bazaar.

“Why I think she represents her generation in such an iconic way is that she really is in her own skin. She’s incredibly grounded, but she’s also just so self-assured. I was not self-possessed in that same way when I was in my early to mid-20s. I still was growing up in the industry in that time when you had to be really pandering in order to be accepted. And she doesn’t have any of that at all. She’s unapologetically herself.”

In the end, Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh’s Black Widow earned a rating of 6.7/10 on IMDB and 79% on Rotten Tomatoes. The 2021 starrer is available to stream on Disney+ in the U.S.
