Giancarlo Esposito recently made an appearance at PhoenixFanFusion, where he ended up talking about his role in the MCU. Although he did not reveal exactly who he would be playing, he did touch on the importance of his character, as well as how he decided to enter the Multiverse of the franchise.

As reported by Legion of Sand, he started by saying that the franchise has given him an opportunity he could not refuse.

The MCU has knocked on my door and it’s a role you won’t predict. It will be teased and there will be a series afterwards.

Esposito then talked about the role itself, stating that fans will be quite surprised to know what character he is going to play. It would seem that his entrance into the series has already been planned, and it is grand, to say the least. In classic MCU style, his character will initially be teased in an unrelated project, and then finally get his own series.
