Due to such popularity, the Bethesda executives and people related to the game are busy with interviews. In one of them, Todd Howard, Starfield‘s game director, was asked about Starfield‘s accuracy with scientific facts. He answered in his manner. But his answer left the gaming enthusiasts surprised.

Scientifically How Accurate is Starfield?

Starfield developers have tried to maintain as much scientific accuracy as possible. But there are certain phases when people enjoy non-scientific things more. During the Bethesda Q&A in October 2022, Todd Howard said that it is a trap question when asked about the game’s scientific accuracy. He then explained the matter in his own words.

According to Todd Howard, when people travel to space, they need space suits and other arrangements to survive in space. Without these, people will die in space as there is no air, and the temperature does not allow humans to live. If these things were to be included in Starfield, the fans would become upset and lose interest. Bethesda primarily focuses on a fun experience rather than a science project.

Starfield is a game based in space. It needs the main character to travel to different planets to fulfill his mission. So, in simple terms, if every scientific fact was considered, Bethesda could not have made the year’s most anticipated game. The game would have been just an idea. Todd Howard also added that for his research, he also went to SpaceX, a company owned by Elon Musk. People can find similarities while playing the video game. Todd Howard also mentioned that this game was inspired by Sundog and Traveller.
