His latest film, Killer of the Flower Moon, is only just an addition to both their filmographies, one that fans are desperately waiting for.

Martin Scorsese Sees Leonardo DiCaprio as his Son

Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio had a rather unique experience while working on The Aviator. The film saw the two of them working together once again and the director was amazed by just how wonderful of an actor he really is. Whilst talking to Deadline, the director discussed his relationship with the actor on that film set.

“He learned a lot as a person; he told me he did. Maybe he was a young kid, just growing. I have daughters. I don’t have sons, so maybe it’s like we’re stumbling along and it’s almost like parenting in a way. But, wow.”

While on the set, the actor was rather young and Scorsese found himself seeing the actor as his own son. He pointed at the fact that he has only daughters so it was a rather unique and precious experience for him. It was more like the director was parenting and mentoring the actor, however, finding himself just as amazed as anyone by DiCaprio’s talent.

Martin Scorsese was Amazed by Leonardo DiCaprio

Martin Scorsese was absolutely surprised upon working with Leonardo DiCaprio in The Aviator. In an interview with Deadline, he admitted that his scenes had managed to take his breath away in the most beautiful manner possible. Surprisingly, the film almost went to Christopher Nolan.

“That was the ultimate, in terms of that type of picture for him and me. Leo then became that way too, and a lot of it happened on The Aviator. There were some scenes he did with Cate Blanchett that left me stunned, I thought it was so beautiful.”

The way he performed with Cate Blanchett absolutely mesmerized him. DiCaprio displayed his talent in form and the director knew that it was a masterpiece. Taking in from his environment and adapting with it is something that the director came to adore about him.
