Just when you think that humanity has advanced to a point of thinking where everyone, and we mean everyone is treated equally, there’s always a bunch of bigots who just don’t budge. No one is safe from the bigotry of these hate groups, and actress Jamie Lee Curtis’ daughter definitely isn’t.

It’s currently 2022 and members of the transgender community still aren’t been able to lead a peaceful life of their own without discrimination from peers and family, or even more extreme, threats from people with transphobic views. Curtis’ daughter Ruby Guest is a trans woman, and she’s not too fond of all the insults and threats that have been hurled at her daughter since she came out 2 years ago.

Jamie Lee Curtis Is Worried About Her Trans Daughter

Jamie Lee Curtis is a part of small, but important, demographic of parents who have accepted their children for who they are and love them for it, which is very rare as our society still needs a major cultural revamp to tolerate the existence of people from the transgender community.

Curtis’ daughter Ruby Guest revealed her gender identity to her parents back in 2020, a moment which Guest described as “scary” and “intimidating” during an interview with People last year.

The 26-year-old is currently married to her lover Kynthia having tied the knot back in May this year. While life may seem to have gotten a bit brighter after marriage, Guest is unfortunately still a victim of abuse and threats from bigots and transphobes.

Much like any other parent who would come to their child’s aid, these instances of abuse have certainly not gone over very well with Guest’s mother Jamie Lee Curtis. The Halloween star recently admitted in a preview for ‘Halloween Ends’ that she finds it “terrifying“-

“There are threats against her life, just for existing as a human being. There are people who want to annihilate her and people like her,”

She then strikes comparison to the “extermination of human beings”

“It’s as if we haven’t learned from fascism, as if we haven’t learned what the result of that is. The extermination of human beings. That’s terrifying.”

We as a society still have a long way to go it seems. Unfortunately, all the support for the transgender community that we see on the internet does not translate into real life as much as you think, and we have to actively play our part to call out transphobia in all forms.

And yes, we meant to say that one of the lead stars of that movie, Jamie Lee Curtis, has openly said she’d love to make a sequel for the movie. Curtis’ starred in the fantasy comedy movie alongside Lindsay Lohan as an on-screen mother-and-daughter duo who accidentally switched bodies due to a… Chinese fortune cookie.

The movie was the THING back when it was released in 2003, and 22 years later Curtis has given the thumbs up from her side for a sequel. The Terror Train star recently spoke about her interest in a sequel for Freaky Friday during a press tour for Halloween Ends at Mexico City-

“Lindsay Lohan and I are friends… Lindsay Lohan and I text. She texted me the other day, she’s in Ireland making [her new Netflix movie Irish Wish]”

She then answers a fan’s question about whether or not she’s open to a remake of the movie-

“Anyway, Freaky Friday remake? Absolutely.”

We’re all open to a Freaky Friday remake, the millennials definitely are! However, we’re still waiting on Lindsay Lohan to express her thoughts about the whole thing, fingers crossed.
