Why Batman And Wonder Woman Shouldn’t Date!

Back in 2004, an animated series by the name of Justice League Unlimited was airing on television. Dealing with the members of the Justice League, the series involved characters fighting villains and teaming up together.

In Season 1, episode 5 of the series (titled This Little Piggy), Batman and Wonder Woman have a moment to chat about their personal lives. When Princess Diana asks Bruce Wayne about his love life, the Caped Crusader of Gotham City has the perfect answer on why they shouldn’t date and how it would never work out between the two.

“One, dating within the team always leads to disaster. Two, you’re a princess from a society of immortal warriors [and] I’m a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues. And three, if my enemies know I had someone special, they wouldn’t rest until they have gotten to me through her”.

Although the reasons seem somewhat reasonable and logical, fans wouldn’t hear the end of it. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), fans praised Kevin Conroy’s Batman as a “sigma-male” while also calling him dumb.

With Batman’s explanation and Diana having a negative reaction, the scene is somewhat brooding and hilarious at the same time. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), people talked about their opinions and how Batman was an idiot for letting Wonder Woman go!

Well, fortunately, or unfortunately, the duo did not work out, and Batman had other partners throughout the series. Some notable names include Selina Kyle (Catwoman) and Barbara Gordan (Batwoman) among others. All three seasons of Justice League Unlimited are available to stream on Max in the U.S.
