Becky Lynch is fiercer than ever in the ring. The WWE champ stood against many worthy contenders in the Elimination Chamber and will now be battling Rhea Ripley in Wrestlemania 40 to win her first singles title (via WWE). Meanwhile, Ripley has been going stronger than ever as she has held her title for more than 350 days now.
Ahead of their match, fans have been enjoying the brewing rivalry and cannot wait to witness who will be the champion between the two. However ahead of their match, the Australian wrestler gained an increased spotlight for her NSFW stinkface move against rival Nia Jax.
And certain WWE fans have been thinking that The Man might be jealous of the current champion for the apparent spotlight she has been getting. Yet in a recent interview, Lynch subtly clapped back at all such fans when she stated,
“When I think of the amount of women that were at one stage, fighting against that treatment… Maybe I’m just like stuffy and and jaded because this is the stuff that I had to fight against… It’s edgy. But if I’m a little girl sitting in the crowd, or if I have my daughter, and she’s seeing that and she’s thinking that that’s what she needs to be if she’s a professional wrestler… Then that is the stuff that gets over and then I’m not taken seriously for what I do in the ring and for the person that I am and the mind that I have.”
Lynch went on to state that such a move only becomes something out of a bunch of men’s fantasies instead of ‘wrestling’ and that she has fought for so long against such treatment. After The Man’s comments went viral across the internet, some fans seemed to agree with Lynch yet others felt that it was just kayfabe.
