More days are coming towards the release date; more anticipation and speculation are piling up. Fans are coming with new requests every day to see their favorite characters in the game. However, the game has started facing controversies as well over a huge allegation.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Is Accused of False Advertising

After the game cover was revealed, huge controversies arose. On that cover, we can see our favorite Dragon Ball characters in some powerful forms, like Brolly, Jiren, Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and many more. Now the problem arises when we see Vegeta in Super Saiyan Blue Evolved form.

So far, Bandai Namco has confirmed 84 fighters in the game, and a total of 164 fighters are planned for the full in-game roster. However, on this roster, none of the characters are confirmed to be in SSBE form. So, having a character on the cover with a powerform that doesn’t exist in the game itself has made fans dissatisfied.

One fan on Reddit has asked the community to take this matter lightly, as he thinks it isn’t a big matter of concern. According to him, villains are featured in covers as well, but we play against them rather than playing as them.

In the past, other games have done this as well. For example, in the FighterZ cover, SSJ2 Goku was featured, although he was never playable in the game.

Despite the promise of support for the developers of the game shown in the Reddit post, fans are absolutely on opposite poles.

This fan thinks this cover is definitely misleading. According to him, developers should have included the players who are only available in the game. Adding excluded characters and forms to the cover just for hype hasn’t been taken lightly by the fans.

‘False Advertising’ Is Not a New Thing in the Gaming World

Another popular title has recently been accused of false advertising. This title is Shift Up’s Stellar Blade. Before the release of the game, a couple of costumes were shown, including those of the main protagonist of the game, Eve. With those two dresses, as advertised, many fans bought the game. However, due to supposed censorship, Sony had to make some changes to make those outfits less revealing. And that is where all the noise erupted.

The changes came into effect just after the release of the day one patch. The original version of those outfits was only available in the physical version of the game, and that too without the day-one patch. Later on, Sony admitted their mistake and initiated refunds for every PS5 copy sold.

That’s it for today. The potential absence of Vegeta’s SSBE form in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has ignited the flames of controversy around the gaming world.

Will Bandai Namco make this form of Vegeta playable in the game, or was it just a marketing gimmick? Let us know your views in the comment section.
