“I was nervous to see if we could pull this off again. But every day just got better. It’s easy when you don’t carry the whole thing. Like Jenna, she just got it. And she was perfect, just perfect.”

As reported by Deadline, he initially admitted that he and director Tim Burton had “kicked the notion around” for more than “three or five years.” Then mentioning how he has already watched this upcoming film twice, he said:

“Finally, we got it right. But also the script — it’s very difficult thing to write. Frankly, I followed his lead. I’ll tell you this, though, it’s really f*cking good. In fact, it’s great.”
