However, according to players, there will be one very key difference between these two titles. This could have frustrating consequences for Space Marine 2 if not taken into account by the development studio.
Fans Warn Saber Interactive Needs To Prepare Space Marine 2 Servers Well
Before the launch of Space Marine 2, fans who wanted to avoid any issues took to social media, warning that Saber Interactive should ensure the game’s servers are well-prepared.
The reason for this concern is linked to the mistake Arrowhead made with Helldivers. Many believe the developer underestimated the number of players who would purchase the game and failed to properly prepare the servers, leading to frustrating issues.

Some argue that the studio should not be blamed here because the game has achieved such great success that they think this is quite normal. But that doesn’t change the fact that Saber Interactive needs to make some provisions for the upcoming Warhammer game.
The prevailing opinion is that Space Marine 2 will attract even more interest, with the fan bases of both games being so similar that they could draw each other in. When you factor in Xbox owners who never had the chance to play Helldivers 2, it’s clear that concerns about the servers are largely justified.
Helldivers 2 PSN Drama Drops Player Count on PC
Although Arrowhead Game Studios’ blockbuster, Helldivers 2, dominated the charts in its early days, it has since declined. There are several reasons for this, but the main issue, as widely recognized, was the PSN requirement.
The game struggled to regain its former popularity, especially on the PC side, after the PSN requirement was implemented. When this decision was first announced, the game had between 100,000 to 200,000 concurrent players on Steam.
However, in the last 24 hours, it has peaked at just 18,000 players. Although the PSN requirement was eventually canceled due to backlash, the damage was done, and the game never fully recovered.
According to Sony’s financial reports for May, Helldivers 2 has sold 12 million copies to date. While sales growth has slowed, the game has become one of Sony’s most successful ventures. Notably, it has surpassed the sales record set by God of War Ragnarök within the same period after its release.
Unfortunately, Sony has not shared the game’s most up-to-date sales figures at this time.
