Daredevil: Born Again‘s announcement has filled Marvel fans with excitement. The show, which will be a part of Phase Five of the MCU, is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in early 2024. The first season will consist of 18 episodes and a second season is also reportedly planned.
The anticipation is quite high as many cast members from Netflix’s Daredevil are returning, including, Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal as Punisher. Now, several media outlets have claimed that another Netflix Defenders-verse character, Punisher, is preparing for his solo show on Disney+.
Punisher is all set to star in his own show
After the announcement of Daredevil: Born Again, many fans had high hopes that even Punisher will get his solo show. Finally, their prayers have been heard. As per several sources, Punisher (played by Jon Bernthal) is all set to get his own solo show.

A famous insider confirmed this news on Twitter, and fans can’t contain themselves. Fans want Marvel to approach the character with a brutal and dark vibe. Jon Bernthal‘s Punisher earlier had his own show on Netflix but unfortunately, it was canceled.
Daredevil: Born Again is all set to premiere in early 2024
The possibility of Punisher getting his solo show is quite high as Daredevil: Born Again is confirmed by the studios. It will premiere on Disney+ in early 2024, and the first season will consist of 18 episodes. Even the second season is completely planned out.
Many characters from Netflix’s Daredevil are expected to make a return including Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock. Considering the backstory of Daredevil and Punisher and how they are linked, it makes sense why Marvel would make a show solely about Punisher.
Daredevil: Born Again is currently being shot
For now, it is confirmed that Jon Bernthal will return as Punisher in the upcoming series. Unfortunately, Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson are not expected to reprise their roles as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson in the show.
For two seasons, Bernthal played Frank Castle in Marvel’s The Punisher before Netflix pulled the plug. There is no doubt that Bernthal is the best version of Frank Castle, thanks to the actor’s dedication to the character. Fans are quite excited to see what he brings to the screen this time as his performances never disappoint.
