During an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres’ show, the host asked Will Smith about his feelings regarding Jada Pinkett starring in a film alongside a group of shirtless men. “How does it feel that Jada is in this film with a whole bunch of naked men?” Ellen asked.
“It’s really interesting,” Will Smith said. “The guys, there were a lot of famous people [in the cast]. Everywhere I go, there’s someone who’s been in their underwear around my wife. It’s just awkward. It’s awkward, Ellen!”
DeGeneres playfully retaliated, joking that Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello have some competition with Will Smith, as he looks fantastic in his film Focus. Previously, Smith had mentioned that his co-star Margot Robbie, who was only 23 during filming, served as his inspiration to hit the gym vigorously for the movie.
“Jada Googled Margot,” Smith said. “[Jada told me], ‘Boy, you need to get to the gym right now,'” Smith said. “I was a late bloomer. Probably right around 26 or 27 years old, I started to fill out a little bit. I’ve always been skinny.”
Focus made a North American gross of $53.9 million and an international gross of $104.9 million, resulting in a total gross of $158.8 million worldwide with a budget of $50.1 million.
