The Oppenheimer star shared that it was a “different time” when Christopher Nolan worked on his trilogy. He shared that Nolan’s trilogy was “grounded in relatable reality,” and that was one of the things he liked about those movies. His co-star Dornan also shared his opinion on the same.

The Heart of Stone actor talked about how the studios have started adapting their childhood debates about superhero showdowns. “Do you remember when you were a kid and you used to wonder, ‘Would Batman or Superman win in a fight?” he told Vulture. The actor further stated, “It’s like a day at the playground,” as he suggested that’s what the studios had been doing.

They’re having playful rivalries like, ‘Oh, who do you think would win in a race between these two?” he said. While Dornan didn’t name any specific movie, his criticism seemed targeted towards Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. As the title suggests, the movie features conflicts between two superheroes, as Batman believes that Superman could be a threat to humanity.
