The game already has one of the best, if not the best, character rosters in the series, confirmed so far. Now, before release, the first DLC character has been revealed, and it is one that series veterans know and love!

Gamers stuck by the Tekken series from its arcade days will quickly identify the iconic Eddy Gordo. Undoubtedly, Eddy, the character with the most panache and athleticism out of the original characters, was a popular choice among players who preferred button spamming instead of learning combos.

That is because Eddy’s playstyle is fluid and velvet-smooth. The character will soon be available as the Character Year 1 Pass, as revealed in the title’s opening movie, which initially features Jin Kazama going head-to-head with Kazuya going head-to-head with each other. This is followed by other characters and armed troops appearing as energetic background score rolls in the background.

Soon, we are treated to a look at the game’s rich and diverse character roster in a cinematic montage focusing on each character’s fighting style and combinations. Right towards the end of the opening movie, we see the thrilling announcement at the 2-minute and 20-second mark.

Eddy Gordo is seen taking his signature. Capoeira’s stance as he effortlessly waltzes around, and the viewer gets a peak of his shadow formed on the ground. After that, we see the motion capture of Eddy being teased with a high poly 3D model moving in his signature style. Right at the next instant, we see the Brazilian fighter make a much-hyped appearance with his usual carefree swagger. Springboarding on solid ground and indulging in somersaults and flawless handstands.

The character then quips:

Keep a passionate heart and a cool head
