One of his most notable efforts as an environmentalist also includes spreading awareness about the damage caused by plastic on oceans and marine life. The Slumberland actor has urged people to reduce plastic use and opt for alternatives that can be reused. However, things could have gone south when he called out the Marvel star Chris Pratt over single-use plastic back in 2019.

The Aquaman star is so dedicated to protecting the environment that he didn’t even hesitate to call out his fellow actor, Chris Pratt when he shared a picture with a single-use plastic bottle. In 2019 Chris Pratt shared an Instagram post posing in activewear with a plastic water bottle in his hand.

While his fans were focused on the Guardians of the Galaxy star’s toned physique, Momoa’s eyes spotted something that he did not find very pleasing. “Bro I love u, but wtf on the water bottle, no single-use plastic. come on, the Wolves actor commented on his post.

Chris Pratt Replied to Aquaman’s Criticism

The Star Lord actor was quick to admit his fault and replied to Jason Momoa’s comment, saying that he always had his “water jug” with him. And despite having it that day too, he posed with a single-use plastic bottle. “Aquaman! You’re completely right. Dammit. I always carry my big gallon-size reusable water jug around with me too” the Passenger star replied.

Pratt explained that he was confused about what to do with his hand during the shoot. And someone just handed him the bottle, and he posed with it. He further said, “So uncomfortable. For real tho. Love you too buddy. My bad. I don’t want your home of Atlantis covered in plastic.” Pratt also advised everyone to “Reduce. Reuse. Recycle” in his comment.

While the Jurassic World star did not seem offended by Momoa’s comment, people took offense and dug out old pictures of the See actor using plastic bottles. Soon the internet was divided, where some defended Momoa, and others called him a hypocrite.
