The whole trial was streamed live, leaving no privacy for either Heard or Depp. However, not much was different about his life even after the trial was over. But, he did become an easy target for Heard’s supporters, as they started slamming the Depp star on social media.
Some of the A-listers who made it big in the industry, like to keep their private life to themselves. The Donnie Brasco actor is also among them. Depp seems to be finally getting tired of it, as he carves for a quieter life off-screen.
Johnny Depp Says He Feels Like a Fugitive
Johnny Depp is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood and is mostly in the public eye. And fans get excited just with a single glimpse of their favorite star. However, being a such big star comes with its disadvantages.
“I’m f***ing shy man,” he said. The Tourist actor further said that he would rather run and hide than have social interaction. “Less and less, I have the opportunity to observe, because I’m the one being observed,” Depp said.
Depp also shared that he can’t even take a walk with his kids on the streets.
“And then you start to realize that for the past ten or 15 years you’ve been going into restaurants through the back door, scurrying along greasy floors, trying to get to some private room.”
The Fantastic Beasts star said it’s like living in hiding and always being on guard, so he does not get spotted in public.
Amber Heard Fans Slam Johnny Depp
Following the trial, Johnny Depp released his new album 18 with Jeff Beck. Depp’s fans believed that the actor has seemingly criticized his ex-wife in the album.
This did not go well with Aquaman star’s fans, and they started criticizing the actor-singer for this. It was not the last time Depp would receive criticism from his ex-wife’s supporters.
After the Sleepy Hollow actor made his first televised appearance at the MTV Music Video Awards, Heard’s fans did not back to criticize him. Her supporters took to social media to slam her ex-husband.
They made fun of the Platoon star, saying, “I can’t stop laughing this is what his fans called ‘Johnny Depp’s big comeback.‘” They also called his appearance more of a humiliation than a celebration.
The most recent incident includes Rihanna and her Savage X Fenty show. There were some leaks regarding The Professor star having a special appearance in it. Many people who were unhappy with his appearance said that they would not support the brand if Johnny Depp would be a part of this.
The show premiered on November 9, 2022, and the Dark Shadows star did appear in it. It proves that he is not ready to give up on his career that easily.
According to sources, Depp is now getting ready to direct Modigliani, a film based on the Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani.
