Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011) fame Elizabeth Olsen had the opportunity to star in two big-budget franchises in 2014 and 2015. But, the fun part about both projects was that she had to tap into the two opposite spectrums of human relations with her co-star.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who got famous for playing John Lennon in 2009’s Nowhere Boy was Olsen’s co-star in both films. In a 2014 Metro exclusive report, the now 34-year-old actor spilled the beans on how she felt working with Johnson.

The $529 million Warner Bros spectacle had Olsen play Johnson’s wife and then she went on to appear in Captain America: The Winter Soldier’s end credits scene where both actors were shown to be genetically enhanced siblings.

Elizabeth Olsen On Her First CGI Heavy Film Experience

While on a press tour for promoting the 2014 blockbuster Godzilla, ScreenRant was able to get the actor’s attention. Olsen described how, in her earlier films, she didn’t explore visual effects like these.

“Now was this your first time doing CGI?” – Asked ScreenRant’s reporter.

“Yup, absolutely. Yeah, it was definitely my first time doing something like this. I didn’t have any green screen to work with, though, it was all just an eye line and imagination,” replied Olsen.

She further elaborated that director Gareth Edwards was immensely supportive of her craft and she was able to adjust to the green screens and camera movements while timing her dialogue delivery accordingly.

Elizabeth Olsen Spent Time With Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Family

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) saw the two incredibly talented stars play siblings with super abilities. But in order to get to that, Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson put in great efforts to explore the dynamics of two damaged people.

Olsen told Metro in 2014 –

“It’s awesome! We only did a few scenes together for [Godzilla], but we spent time together in Vancouver and I got to know his family. And to play really tight twin brother and sister, I felt really lucky that it’s not with some guy I just met or something. I think we both like the fact that we have this other film in our repertoire or something.”

As we know, Johnson’s version of QuickSilver died saving Clint Barton at the end of the MCU spectacle. Disney+ series WandaVision surprised fans with Evan Peters’ version of the character.

Variety reported in early July that Elizabeth Olsen will be filming her next – The Assessment, alongside Alicia Vikander. The release date is under wraps.
