Hollywood stars are often required to change their appearance for their on-screen roles. These alterations can vary from losing or gaining weight to opting into their character’s environment. Mark Wahlberg did not have to follow extreme measures for his role in the sci-fi action franchise, but he had to let his hair grow to portray Cade Yeager in the 2017 sci-fi film, Transformers: The Last Knight.

He also shared that he was hoping to grow the hair long enough so that he could tie it to avoid getting hair on his face. Wahlberg also grew his hair while working on the 2006 sports drama, Invincible, in which he portrayed the former football player Vince Papale.
