In recent years, Gosling has been open about how his life has changed for the better ever since Mendes entered his life and his 2016 interview is a great example of that.
In this interview with Good Morning America, he was asked about his family, where the girl-to-boy ratio has become 3:1. The actor gushed about how that’s a heavenly feeling for him and how he walks among angels.
He also joked that they are a ray of sunshine amidst his dark times with Russell Crowe, who he worked with in that year’s The Nice Guys. Gosling said (via YouTube),
It’s heaven. It’s like walking through a field of flowers every day. I live with angels. It’s a ray of sunshine in a dark time, actually, because with Russell [Crowe], It’s sad that we’ve turned out this way.

Russell Crowe is known to be a very intense and serious actor who can stay in character during production and not be distracted by anything. However, as audiences saw during the promotions of The Nice Guys, the actor was constantly laughing out loud at Ryan Gosling’s witty one-liners and hilarious comments.
In an interview with GQ, Crowe revealed that he loved making the film, although he found working with Gosling hard, as he made Crowe laugh uncontrollably on set. He further stated that Gosling always gets him every time. The Gladiator star said,
I loved making that movie. Ryan Gosling, Jesus Christ. Trying to work with that kid. […] There’s a thing in acting called corpsing — laughing inappropriately. That little motherf*cker gets me every time.
Crowe has called Gosling one of the funniest people he’s ever met and one who could make him laugh at the drop of a hat (in another interview with GQ). Gosling was recently seen in The Fall Guy and is currently shooting for his upcoming film Project Hail Mary.
