A remake of the 1989 Patrick Swayze-led action-drama film Road House has been in development since 2013. After some hiccups, the remake took off in November 2021 when Jake Gyllenhaal agreed to star in the lead role. The project was greenlit in August 2022 and fans have been eagerly waiting to see a glimpse of the film especially since Gyllenhaal is playing a former UFC fighter in it.

The film will also feature Conor McGregor, the former UFC Featherweight and Lightweight Champion. McGregor will go toe-to-toe with Gyllenhaal in several of the movie’s exhilarating fight sequences, some of which were on full display in the movie’s recently dropped trailer. The trailer sheds light on the film’s basic plot, which will see Gyllenhaal’s Elwood Dalton protecting a roadhouse in the Florida Keys after being washed out as a UFC fighter. Fans Disappointed After Watching the Trailer Due to Road House‘s Release Strategy

After the trailer dropped online, fans took to social media to express their praise and excitement for the film. While most of the reactions to the trailer were positive, some fans felt disappointed with the trailer not because it failed to live up to the original’s quality.
