It is super freaky that Matthew Perry’s last post on Instagram was about warm water swirling and 6 days later he died in a Jacuzzi. pic.twitter.com/J7t2e6wDps

“Mattman” was the name he had recently taken to using and mentioning in his posts on social media, often including references related to the DC superhero Batman. Matthew Perry‘s death and this last social media post have further left fans heartbroken.
Matthew Perry Wanted To Be A Husband And A Parent
In his memoir Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing released back in November 2022, Matthew Perry opened up about struggling with addiction and drug abuse, claiming how he wanted his book to help other people.
“I wanted to share when I was safe from going into the dark side of everything again. I had to wait until I was pretty safely sober — and away from the active disease of alcoholism and addiction — to write it all down. And the main thing was, I was pretty certain that it would help people,” wrote Perry.
Furthermore, he also mentioned how he was no longer afraid of love and was even looking forward to becoming a good husband and a father.
“Through a lot of work, I’ve got over that fear [of love]. I’m going to learn as I go. […] I’m not run by the fear I used to be run by so everything’s kind of different,” he says. “I’m feeling more confident and I’m not afraid of love anymore, so the next girl I go out with better watch out. [As a dad,] I think I’d be great. I really do. I grew up with a lot of little kids around me, and that’s probably why, but I can’t wait.”
His comments about his future make Matthew Perry’s death even more saddening. But now that he has truly left his Chandler Bing legacy behind, may his soul rest in peace.
