Starring alongside an incredible cast including Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, and others, the actor portrays the American businessman Lewis Strauss in the upcoming feature. And after sharing that starring in the MCU led to his concerns about his acting skills, the Iron Man star has now said that the Christopher Nolan film is the best film he ever starred in.

Christopher Nolan is one of the renowned filmmakers of Hollywood, and so it doesn’t come as a surprise that many actors wish to have the opportunity to work with him. Robert Downey Jr. also came across the 2023 film while taking a break from his professional life.
He got the opportunity to work with the director in the biographical thriller Oppenheimer. And he has surprised everyone as he recently called the upcoming movie the best film of his career. “I’m just going to flat-out say it. This is the best film I’ve ever been in,” he said during the UK premiere of Oppenheimer.
He further stated that he is eager for the audience to feel the “immersive experience” the movie gives its viewers. While fans are looking forward to the upcoming film, the statement has many talking about how the Dolittle star really feels about starring in the MCU.
Earlier, the Iron Man actor shared that starring in the MCU and portraying the same character for over a decade affected his acting skills, and the Oppenheimer director wanted him to bring out the best of him for the upcoming movie.
Oppenheimer Gave Robert Downey Jr. Nostalgia
Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film has been one of the highly anticipated movies of the year. And the anticipation for the movie only increased as it is set to have a box office clash with Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. Robert Downey Jr, who also stars in the movie, has claimed that Oppenheimer would live up to everyone’s expectations.
During the London premiere of the movie, the Tropic Thunder star said, “No matter what your expectations are, or what you might think…it’s just an immersive experience,” before adding, “This is what the summer blockbusters when I was growing up, used to be.”
Downey Jr. seems confident about the movie as he has shared his belief that the film would win over everyone’s heart. Not just the actor, but the film’s director has also said that the upcoming movie is his “most extreme” project yet.
Oppenheimer is set to release on 21 July 2023.
