One Piece’s live-action adaptation is ready to return for the second season and shatter more records along the way, just like they did in their debut season. The series is all set to continue the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirate Crew, featuring Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, and Taz Skylar in the roles of the iconic characters.
Even though the TV series is the first successful adaptation of an anime series, it managed to live up to the hype of Eiichiro Oda’s manga and anime. Nevertheless, there was one thing in the show that the fans did not like: Rudd’s orange for the role of Nami.
The fans couldn’t comprehend how bad the actress looked with the wig, and some fans were seen criticizing the platform for their horrendous work. Surprisingly, that did not stop the actress from performing phenomenally as the navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates.

Netflix’s live adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece broke the live-action curse, as the series smashed away the negative buzz that had surrounded the project prior to its release. The acting of the cast was phenomenal, especially the sterling performance of Emily Rudd, who won the hearts of ardent fans of the adventure series.
The Fear Street actress’ phenomenal performance in the show breathed life into the fan-favorite character. Rudd’s resilience and showcasing the character’s fearless tendencies in the episodes, where she would insist on performing stunts by herself to make the scenes look more authentic.
However, that’s not all because she showcased a tight-knit bond with the rest of the Straw Hat Pirate crew members, especially with Iñaki Godoy, the lead actor who portrays the role of Monkey D. Luffy.
The two showcased outstanding chemistry, which added another star to her iconic performance. As a result, the fans were united and sang praises of Rudd for navigating herself effortlessly and embodying the once-in-a-lifetime role. However, fans of the show were offended by one aspect of her character which they still could not tolerate in the live-action series.

There’s no denying that Rudd has knocked the ball out of the park. However, the fans have one complaint in a particular department, and it is none other than her wig, which looks like an eyesore to every fan of the Netflix series.
Recently, in r/OnePieceLiveAction, a fan uploaded a picture of the actress, stating how Emily Rudd looks like her character even with blonde hair, and asked for the take on the rest of the fandom. The fans shared a similar opinion, where they criticized the production for making her hair look “fake.”

Nonetheless, fans are optimistic that following the massive success of the first season of the show, the production studio will increase their budget on wigs and give Rudd’s Nami’s look more natural.
