The ever-changing world of manga and anime has often blessed its fans with a ton of titles that have featured compelling storylines, characters, and unique concepts that have hooked their viewers. The industry was once ruled by legendary titles like Dragon Ball, Naruto, Bleach, and many more.
However, once they came to an end, newer titles replaced them, which managed to establish a meaningful connection with their viewers. It looks like the cycle is going to repeat as three of the biggest new generations are drawing a curtain, and titles are set to take their place.
Although several titles have recently gained popularity, only three are trusted enough to carry on the legacy and become the newest faces of the industry. These new series are none other than Kagurabachi, Kaiju No. 8, and Chainsaw Man, which have been heavily backed by the fans.
3 New Gen Projects Have Big Shoes to Fill
In recent years, the anime and manga industry has grown profoundly, thanks to infectiously popular titles like Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia, Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen, and Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. However, these titles are nearing their end, with My Hero Academia already concluding its tale after a decade.
Hence, a newer generation is tasked with replacing them and taking the industry to greater heights. The hopes are placed in three titles, namely Kagurabachi, Kaiju No. 8, and Chainsaw Man, primarily because of their uniqueness and how they have showcased the potential to go down as one of the greatest works ever.
An anime fan (@KajiTang) tweeted on X, stating that with renowned titles nearing their end, “new generation” titles are meant to fill this “shonen void.” But more importantly, “Who will reign at the top?”
However, fans did not back out from sharing their unsolicited opinion, as they believed that their favorite title had been one of those names that had been popular for a period.

While fans have been naming different titles, one name was repetitive and has proved its hype, as it has featured a plot that has met the expectations of the fans.
Kagurabachi’s Unreal Hype Makes It a Worthy Candidate To Reign Over the Industry
Fans are aware that Chainsaw Man revolves around Denji, who can transform into a chainsaw devil, where he uses his power to make the world a safer place. At the same time, Kaiju No. 8 tells the double life of Kafka, who is fighting other Kaijus after swallowing a parasitic creature. while keeping his identity a secret.
But what about Kagurabachi? Why has this title gained so much prominence in such little time? Takeru Hokazono’s Kagurabachi was released back in September 2023, and it has been receiving praise from weebs as if it had been running for several years.
The series takes its readers on a payback tale, where Chihiro goes on a journey to kill the people who murdered his father. Though one would think that they have already seen plenty of titles based on family tragedy, Hokazono-San’s work stands out from the rest. Primarily because it just takes enough time to showcase the bond between a father and son.
Before the reader can even blink, it will move three years into the future, where Tokyo is infested with crime and dark sorcery. The characters’ popularity is baffling and, in many ways, compared to Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man.
Though the unreal popularity surrounding the series might make it look overrated on the outside, once the reader starts investing their time, they won’t stop singing praises of the title, especially how entertaining it has been so far.
