Recent statements by the cast of this show are quite concerning as they revealed that despite the success that the series has seen on the streaming platform, no one on the cast of the show has made any profit from it. Paul, who played the character of Pinkman, talked in quite detail about this, going as far as to threaten the streaming giant if they are not rightfully compensated.
Cast Of Breaking Bad Speaks Up About Getting Unfairly Compensated For Their Work
In light of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, many actors have come out to talk about them not making any money off their series, despite their success on streaming platforms. Amongst these is the cast of Breaking Bad, including Aaron Paul, Bryan Cranston, and Jesse Plemons. They, collectively, called on Hollywood to resume negotiations with striking screen actors, with Cranston, who played the beloved Walter White, talking about wanting them to come back to the table to talk about meeting their demands.
“The way things were structured 10 years ago made a lot of sense and it made it more possible for journeymen-type actors, actors in the middle that are working just as a hard or harder,” Plemons said.
Jesse Plemons, who played the character of Todd Alquist, talked about how the pay structure of actors was structured more than ten years ago, and though it made sense at the time, it has been long overdue to form a new one that does not exploit the people who work much more on a project than those who are making profits off them.

Aaron Paul Tells Netflix To Pay Up
Amongst those who spoke was Aaron Paul, best known for playing Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, he revealed that he has made nothing for the success that the series has made on Netflix and this fact sounds very ridiculous to him, considering the fact that the series has consistently been one of Netflix’s best-doing shows for many years.
“I don’t get a piece from Netflix on Breaking Bad to be totally honest and that’s insane to me,” Paul said. “I think a lot of these streamers know that they have been getting away with not paying people a fair wage and now it’s time to pony up.”
The actor then added that he believes that these streaming companies know that they have been getting away with unfairly paying everyone who makes them the amount of profit that they do and they have been taking advantage of this fact. He then added that this has been going on for far too long and that it is time for Netflix to pay up.
