“I’m not a Yellowstone fan. I don’t watch Yellowstone. I love [actor Kevin] Costner. There are a lot of good people on the cast, a few of them I’ve worked with before. Nothing against any of them, but it’s just too much like f–king Dallas or something for me.”

In his previous interview, Elliott shared why he didn’t agree with the fans’ comparison between Yellowstone and 1883. He shared,

“Yellowstone is all over [1883]. We’re tainted by Yellowstone, which on some level I can’t stand because I think 1883 stands alone and will. Once it comes out, people are gonna say, ‘Oh, yeah. The only connection there is that it got John Dutton to Montana.'”

Sam Elliott made his point clear on why he’s not interested in watching the show, noting that he has nothing against the cast of the highly acclaimed series, but he’s not a fan of the show.

Taylor Sheridan‘s vision and spectacular way of telling this fascinating tale helped ascend the series to new heights. He penned and starred in this highly successful show, depicting the character of Travis Wheatley, a horse trainer. In an interview, Sheridan opened up about the immense response and praised Yellowstone’s seasons received. He said,

“People couldn’t understand how a linear cable channel that no one can even find suddenly had the biggest show on television…Because it has cowboys, and this is supposed to be a dead genre, right? Of course, that’s not what the show is really about, that’s just the sugar on the pill.”

The series boasts a stellar cast ensemble featuring Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, and Gil Birmingham.
