Through these tough times, he has stayed strong in situations when where most would give up. Many who have worked in the industry with him have known how humble and simple he is, and politely he behaves with everyone around him. But many also don’t know why he is how he is, and it has to do with all the experiences he has had in his life. One experience, in particular, affected him so much that he decided to do something to bring smiles to faces around the world.

For a moment in time, it felt like all we know about Johnny Depp was false due to domestic abuse allegations. But when the jury proved him not guilty, many people were reassured that the Depp they knew was still the one they saw. People remembered the loving and caring family man who was the best father they could’ve asked for. Many also remembered the time when his daughter fell ill, and as he was taking care of her, he was affected by it so much that he made sure no one in these hospitals would remain unhappy anymore.

And when people realized that, they also remembered how much Depp has done to bring smiles to children’s faces who were unfortunate to be in hospitals with nothing to bring joy to them. He very emotionally revealed on The Graham Norton Show about the time when his daughter Lily-Rose Depp fell severely ill, and he would be sitting in the hospital when he saw the gloom on the kids and their parent’s faces. He then decided to do something for them, which lead to him going to children’s hospitals dressed as the iconic Jack Sparrow to bring joy into their lives.

During the interview, he said:

“I spent time in Great Ormond Street, where I was the parent when my daughter was ill. I’ve known darkness in my life, but that was the darkest period ever. I’d always done these visits but after that, the visits became more and more important because the kids bless me, they’re so strong, they’re so courageous. But the prents parents are the ones who are slowly dying. And to be able to bring a smile to these people means everything in the world to me.”

His love for his daughter and all the kids and their parents in the world proves how humble and empathetic this man really is and always will be.
