“I’ve loved you three summers now”: Stranger Things Star Millie Bobby Brown Announces Engagement With Taylor Swift’s Song as Singer Deals With Breakup

There are but a few people who would have achieved as much in the film industry as early as the young actress and producer Millie Bobby Brown. Having attained popularity as a child actor at the age of 12 in 2016, Brown has gone from strength to strength in both her professional and personal life, much to the apparent ire of several.

The young star has often been the target of online bullying and the like. Brown, however, hasn’t let her haters get to her and surprised the world when she announced her engagement to her longtime lover, Jake Bongiovi, on 11th April 2023, in a post on her Instagram.

Stranger Things (2016-present) star Millie Bobby Brown pleasantly surprised her legions of fans by announcing her engagement to her longtime partner Jake Bongiovi, son of the legendary Jon Bon Jovi. She took to Instagram to share a post with her now-fiance and used lyrics from a popular Taylor Swift song as her caption.

Brown used lyrics from Taylor Swift’s ultra-popular title Lover as she captioned her post with lyrics from the song which chronicled Swift’s own relationship with her then-partner. “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all <3” captioned the actress on a post clearly showing her sporting an engagement ring.

Fans largely divided over the actress’ announcement of her engagement

Fans were equal parts surprised and shocked at Brown’s announcement of her engagement. In fact, several fans seemed to find it necessary to point out how the actress was only nineteen, raising questions about Bongiovi’s character.

Ironically, Joe Alwyn, Taylor Swift‘s partner to whom Lover was dedicated, is no longer in a relationship with Swift, with the both of them calling it quits very recently, and fans were quick to point this out.

In spite of this, the overwhelming response to the news was positive, with fans calling the duo adorable and wishing them all the best. One can only hope that the wishes come through for the young couple and take them onward into a healthy relationship.
