Sydney Sweeney embarked on her acting career as a child actor with guest roles in TV shows such as 90210, Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy, and Pretty Little Liars. She went on to star in the Netflix series Everything Sucks! and the HBO miniseries Sharp Objects.
Sweeney’s role as Cassie Howard in the HBO drama series Euphoria earned her a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2022. Despite the discourse over her nude scenes in the show, she has refused to stop doing such scenes.
The White Lotus actress recently made her SNL debut and took the opportunity to address a TikTok personality’s claim that she was the actress’s nutritionist. According to the news outlet BuzzFeed News, the dietician posted an Instagram reel (her Instagram account is now deleted). The user claimed:
“I was Sydney Sweeney’s dietician [sic] for 5 years this is how I helped her get her dream role with 5 easy food swaps.”
The dietician went on to allege that the actress’ “favorite comfort food” was Kraft Mac ’n’ Cheese which she asserted to be “a dietician’s nightmare.” According to multiple screenshots circulating online, The Voyeurs actress was quick to shut this rumor down by commenting:
“i don’t know you and kraft mac n cheese is for life.”
Reflecting on this incident during her SNL monologue, Sweeney said:
“I’ve never met her. And also, I’ve never had a nutritionist. I’m in shape because I run, avoid sugar, and do Ozempic.”
This was not only the rumor that she debunked. She debunked the accusation that she was lying about one of her first jobs as a tour guide at Universal Studios.
Sydney Sweeney Debunked One of the Craziest Rumors
Sydney Sweeney made her rom-com debut with the movie Anything but You, in which she starred with Glen Powell. The film turned out to be a sleeper hit. However, her chemistry with Glen Powell ended up sparking affair rumors.
Speaking on this destructive rumor, Sweeney said:
“I’d say the craziest rumor I’ve seen is that while I was filming Anyone But You, I was having an affair with my co-star Glen Powell. That’s obviously not true. Me and my fiance produced a movie together, and he was there the entire shoot. And I just want to let everyone know that he’s the man of my dreams. And we’re still together and stronger than ever.”
The Reality actress went on to say that her fiance Jonathan Davino was there to support her. Then she asked the crew to cut to her fiance. However, the camera cut to Glen Powell himself, who made a surprise appearance in the audience.
