Hence, when people saw Marvel’s Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings, they went nuts when they saw Simu Liu performing a fight scene inspired by the legendary action star.

Marvel’s Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings Pays Tribute To Jackie Chan

When Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings were released in theatres, it was clear to the fans that most of the action scenes in the film were inspired by the iconic martial artist. In the bus fight scene, Jackie Chan’s fans were delighted when in the middle of the fight Liu was grappled by one of the bad guys, Liu’s jacket became a part of the scene, a move used by Chan’s Ma Hon Keung in Rumble in the Bronx.

But that’s not all because fans of The Drunken Master actor also believe that the jacket that the actor wore in the film was also inspired by Chan. But the similarity in the fight scenes in the 2021 Marvel movie was not a coincidence. As the action scenes were coordinated by Andy Cheng, the fight coordinator and he has worked with Jackie Chan numerous times in the past as the stunt double and assistant stunt choreographer in movies such as Rush HourRush Hour 2Shanghai Noon, and many more.

Jackie Chan Is Proud Of His Accent

During an episode of GQ’s special segment Actually Me, where celebrities go incognito and reply to several fans’ comments on different social media platforms. It was during this episode, a hilarious incident took place when a fan commented how Jackie Chan’s accent sounds similar to that of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s.

The Vanguard actor used this opportunity to showcase his wit and replied that his accent was “sexy” while Arnold Schwarzenegger’s more “I’ll be back.”

“No, his accent is more ‘I’ll be back’. My accent is still like a baby. Quite sexy.”

People understood The Terminator reference from Chan’s accent. However, this was not the first time, when he took a playful dig at the Commando actor, as he had stated earlier in the interview how anyone could play his role as the Terminator. Despite everything the two actors share a close bond as Schwarzenegger congratulated his Around the World in 80 Days co-star when he received the honorary Academy Award for his extraordinary film career.
