During an interview with Tribute to promote his movie, The Tuxedo, Jackie Chan shared that he was excited to have met Steven Spielberg for the movie. Notably, the film was produced by Spielberg’s DreamWorks production company. Chan disclosed that the Jurassic Park director was one of his two Hollywood idols, the other being George Lucas. The Myth actor shared that when he met Spielberg, the director surprisingly asked Chan for his autograph because his son was a fan.

The Accidental Spy actor was on cloud nine when a Hollywood legend of Spielberg’s stature acknowledged his stardom by asking for his autograph. The Armour of God actor was star-struck by the Schindler’s List director, not knowing what to say. Chan recounted the experience to Tribute:

“When I came to Hollywood, there were two people I wanted to meet. One was Steven Spielberg and the second was George Lucas. I just think that the two of them are geniuses. When I met Spielberg I was so excited, but he was just like a normal person. But what made me so happy was the first time that he saw me, he held out his hand and said, ‘Jackie, hi, can you give me your autograph because my son just loves you.’”

When asked if he would be interested in a role in a Star Wars movie, the Kung Fu Yoga actor eagerly expressed his interest by mimicking fighting with a lightsaber. There is still potential for Jackie Chan to join the Star Wars universe, and fans have some theories.

What Are Jackie Chan’s Possibilities In Star Wars?

Jackie Chan can still potentially play a role in Star Wars

There were numerous petitions from the fans of the Hidden Strike actor urging Lucasfilm to cast him as a Jedi master. As per their arguments, Chan exemplified many qualities of a Jedi. Apart from his years of martial arts skills, the 69-year-old actor also proved as an excellent trainer in The Karate Kid. Chan could add more funny and mystical elements to the Star Wars universe. Finally, his natural ability to suppress negative emotions would make him an ideal Jedi.

Another theory suggests that the Star Wars series, particularly the world of witches in Ahsoka, opens up a multitude of possibilities beyond just the Jedis and Siths. Jackie Chan could be a great addition as a unique Force-sensitive character who relies solely on martial arts skills in combat. The possibilities are endless, leaving the decision to consider the Rush Hour actor in the hands of George Lucas.
