On the occasion of Usopp’s birthday on April 1, a video was uploaded on the Still Watching Netflix channel. In the video, Romero gives some “honest” answers to fans’ questions about the second season.

One of these questions was about the addition of Princess Vivi and her loyal pet duck Karoo to the cast. However, the answers to all these answers might have to be taken with a pinch of salt considering Romero looked very much in character, who is well known for his mischievous nature.

Matt Owens also appears in the video and attempts to stop Romero from revealing actual Season 2 spoilers. The video ends with a drawing of Usopp facing a dinosaur. This appears to be a potential hint that Season 2 would feature the prehistoric island of Little Garden, which was one of the first islands that the Straw Hat pirates explored in the Grand Line.

One Piece is the live-action adaptation of the eponymous popular manga series by Eiichiro Oda. Matt Owens and Steven Maeda created the fantasy adventure series. The show is centered around Captain Monkey D. Luffy, a member of the Straw Hat Pirates. Other group members are Nami (Emily Rudd), Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), Usopp (Jacob Romero), and Sanji (Taz Skylar).

The first season of the series received appraisal for the cast’s performances, visual effects, and loyalty to the source material from both audiences and critics. Shortly after the release of the first season, Netflix renewed the show for a second one.

However, Tomorrow Studios president Becky Clements’ expressed her hope in the fact that they would be able to release the show within twelve to eighteen months after the strike was over. Clements said:

“Realistically, hopefully, a year away, if we move very quickly, and that is a possibility. Somewhere between a year and 18 months, we could be ready for air.”

In an interview with Deadline, Clements also said that while they had had “thorough conversations” about Season 2, there were “less extensive conversations” on Seasons 3 to 6. Rest assured, fans are definitely getting a second season.

All episodes of One Piece Season 1 are available for streaming on Netflix.
