“One of the things that’s very interesting that I’ve never really said before is that when I first met Pac, when we first met, I was a drug dealer,” adding, “As I was coming out of the life, he was coming more into the life. I was coming out, he was going in, there was a point at which we met, and then we were kind of going our separate ways.”

She continued,

“Pac and I’s relationship was about survival. That’s how it started. I know that most people want to always connect it in this romance thing, and that’s just because they don’t have the story.”

Jada Pinkett Smith set the record straight about her close relationship with Tupac Shakur by making this statement, which seemingly alleviated her husband Will Smith’s concerns on this point, who once reportedly admitted that he was jealous of their bond.

During his appearance on The Breakfast Club morning show, Will Smith was asked if he was ever jealous of his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s love for Tupac Shakur, to which he replied,

“F*ck yeah. That was in the early days, and that was like a big regret for me too ‘cause I never opened up to interact with ‘Pac because we had a little bit of thing. You know, they grew up together, and they loved each other, but they never had a s**ual relationship. But they were coming into that age where now that was a possibility, and Jada was with me.”

He continued,

“Pac had a little thing on that, but she just loved him. He was the image of perfection, but she was with “The Fresh Prince.” I could never just… we were in the room together a couple of times, and I couldn’t speak to him, and he wasn’t gonna speak to me if I wasn’t going to speak to him.”

Will Smith has had a legendary career in Hollywood. However, his family life and marriage have been a huge sore spot in an otherwise successful life.
