The Flash is aiming to end the DCEU on a high note

With The Flash inching towards its long-awaited release, it’s reasonable to assume that it would officially mark the end of the long-struggling DCEU and will sow the seeds for James Gunn’s ambitious DCU. And it appears that The Flash movie will end the scattered Snyderverse on a high note and provide a deserved sendoff to some of its beloved characters.

And even though fans are a little bewildered about the future of Ezra Miller in the DCU after The Flash, many are happy to witness Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton getting the spotlight to shine. But considering that Ben Affleck is getting his last shot as Batman, fans have demanded the same hospitality for the fan-favorite Henry Cavill.

Fans beg James Gunn and WB to bring Henry Cavill back for one final send-off

Since the axing of Henry Cavill from the role of Superman in the DC universe, fans have been crying foul over James Gunn’s decision and demanding to bring him back. But considering the roadmap of James Gunn’s new DCU and the struggling condition of the previous universe, the cancellation of Snyderverse and removal of Henry Cavill seems like a necessary evil to craft a fresh and cohesive narrative for the DC universe.

But bearing in mind that The Flash is providing Ben Affleck’s Batman a farewell, fans demand the same treatment for Cavill. And with Zod from Man of Steel returning in the movie, fans demand a showdown between General Zod and Henry Cavill’s Superman and grant the actor his Swansong in the DC universe just like Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in Logan.

With two months remaining before the release of the most important DC film in a while, it seems a little far-fetched to assume Henry Cavill in the final cut of the movie. But considering that they are following the narrative of the Flashpoint storyline, we might get a glimpse of Henry Cavill’s Superman before the DC universe resets and follow James Gunn’s vision.

The Flash will hit theatres on 16 June 2023.
