After months of hating on Zack Snyder and his version of Superman, James Gunn’s fans seemed to receive a well-deserved clapback when the scooper account released the alleged first look of the Superman suit. Supposedly bringing back the renowned red trunks for the upcoming DC blockbuster, the potential suit for David Corenswet stunned fans in all the wrong ways.
Previously, James Gunn shared images of all the Clark Kent stories that inspired his Superman reboot. Therein, a few of the comic panels portrayed Superman in the classic red trunk. Now, as the scooper account shared the alleged image of the outfit, it seems only obvious that Gunn is trying to bring back the red trunk in his upcoming reboot. But in this day and age, fans don’t seem quite ok with it.
