Willing to do things differently with his rebooted DCU, James Gunn mentioned how he won’t be repeating the MCU mistake. Addressing fans’ questions on Instagram, Gunn stated that his upcoming DC movies won’t be following similar “style and tone” to his MCU movies. 

It will shift from project to project and will reflect the unique sensibilities of the filmmakers involved.”
