Back in December of last year, Wonder Woman’s director Patty Jenkins revealed Warner Bros’s decision to cancel the third installment of the Gal Gadot-led franchise. The news rocked the world of social media as many fans expressed their disappointment and disdain for the decision.

When James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DC, old projects were canceled and newer ones were introduced. One of the future projects of James Gunn is the much-anticipated Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. A reboot of DCEU, the movie would feature the key players of the DC-verse, namely Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the rest.

While we can spot Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in Shazam! Fury of the Gods and even in the newly released The Flash, her future in James Gunn’s DC-verse remains unknown. With the Snyderverse actors like Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa having gotten a chance to retain their roles, it is difficult to figure out whether Gadot would get the same chance as her co-stars.

Having fired Henry Cavill as Superman despite his immense stardom, it is possible that Gal Gadot could be asked to lay down her sword as well.
