Gunn didn’t stop there and marked his presence in the DCU with his commendable direction in The Suicide Squad. It looks like switching to DCU came out to be a good idea as the maker of the Super got promoted to the chair of co-CEO in the DCU. Gunn took some major calls to reestablish the modern DCU. The result of these new decisions resulted in the exit of Henry Cavill, leaving the cape of Superman all alone. But it looks like Pierson Fodé has grabbed the attention of the Slither director for the vacant role of the new Superman.

The Exit Of Henry Cavill From DCU

The arrival of new co-CEOs came in handy with some shocking decisions, which included the exit of Henry Cavill from the franchise. Cavill made his debut in DC studios in the 2013 movie, Man of Steel. Fans loved the performance of The Witcher star in the superhero franchise, and Cavill went ahead to reprise his role on several other occasions.

But sadly with this renovation of the DCU, Cavill lost his superhero role. James Gunn backed his decision to remove the Enola Holmes star by stating that his vision of Superman demands a young face to justify his long-term plans. The co-CEO of DCU also shared that the new movie Superman: Legacy, will cover the initial arcs of Superman’s life but will not be the origin story.
