Recent predictions reveal that James Gunn‘s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which hits theatres next month, is going to “fall short during its domestic opening compared to its predecessor.” It is reported that “Marvel is worried about their internal tracking” for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Despite the hype, the weekly predictions have trended downward, and Gunn’s third installment in this franchise is predicted to be the lowest-performing Guardians movie ever. The Wrap reported that the third volume may hit somewhere between $125 to 130 million during the opening week.

The first installment received a critics and audience score of 90% while Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. secured an 80%. The movie outgrossed its predecessor, earning more than $893 million worldwide. The upcoming movie’s fate will only be decided in May!
