However, playing the lead, Django in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, marked his prominence as an actor to a greater extent. Recently, while shooting for his upcoming Netflix movie, Foxx was hospitalized, though the cause for it was kept secret.
What Happened To Jamie Foxx?
As per a report by The Sun, Jamie Foxx allegedly had a breakdown on the set of the upcoming Netflix film Back in Action, which also stars Cameron Diaz. Following his breakdown reported on May 15, 2023, the production was at a halt. “There have been some issues on set and Jamie has had a major meltdown over it all,” an insider said.
The very next day after his breakdown, former wrestler Mike Tyson claimed on the PBD podcast that he had heard that Foxx had suffered from a stroke. “He’s not feeling well. They said a stroke,” Tyson said in the podcast adding, “I have no idea what happened to him.”
Following Foxx’s breakdown, TMZ reported that the actor was sent to a rehabilitation center specializing in stroke recovery in Chicago, and his family members were seen rushing to the hospital.
Foxx’s daughter, Corrine Foxx, kept the fans updated on her father’s medical conditions from time to time. It appears that Foxx’s family wanted to keep the cause of his medical condition a secret. On May 12, Corrine said,
“Sad to see how the media runs wild. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support! We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”
However, her statement sparked a debate, when journalist A.J. Benza claimed her statement was “all lies” and “baloney.”
A.J. Benza Claimed Jamie Foxx Had a Blood Clot in His Brain
Following Foxx’s on-set meltdown, several reports have surfaced, yet the cause of his health issue was kept a secret. Recently, with a shocking update, A.J. Benza revealed that the Django Unchained star, in fact, had a blood clot in his brain, claiming he was “partially paralyzed and blind.”
“The blood clot in the brain caused him at that point to be partially paralyzed and blind,” Benza said appearing on Dr. Drew Pinsky’s online show “Ask Dr. Drew.” Further, the journalist insisted that his source had first-hand information about the actor’s hospitalization, as he claimed that the source was “someone inside the room.”
“I am thinking, ‘Is that why he blew up on the set a week before this medical emergency happened?'” he asked the host. “Is that why he fired three or four people because he had had it with these mandates?”
As per reports, Foxx had fired four people from production after his meltdown. “He demanded the problems be sorted immediately and sacked four of the production staff — as if that would magically improve the situation,” an insider from the set said.
Benza also said that he is doubtful about the social media updates from his family about Foxx’s condition.
“If you read into what they were saying early on, ‘He is communicating with us.’ That doesn’t mean talking. That could be anything. Writing. Sign language. I know those little code words.”
Benza’s claim quickly spread like wildfire on social media and news outlets as fans wait for a promising update on the mysterious condition of the actor.
