J.K. Rowling to Executive Produce Harry Potter TV Series

HBO Max recently announced its plans for a Harry Potter reboot TV series. The series will introduce a new cast and will faithfully follow the story as per the original books. The author of the popular book series, JK Rowling has also joined the project as an executive producer.

HBO Max has also claimed that the TV series will be a “faithful adaptation of the iconic books.” While fans seem excited about the TV series, many of them are not in favor of JK Rowling’s association with it as an executive producer.

Things only got worse for her as she joined The Witch Trials of J.K. Rowling podcast earlier this year. Considering The Ickabog author’s transphobic comments, one Twitter user said, “JK Rowling seeing a trans actor play one of her characters.”

One user also mentioned that being an executive producer on the series, Rowling might not let such a thing happen. Many users have also opposed the series due to the author’s involvement with the project, saying that they do not want to support anything associated with JK Rowling anymore. The studio has not revealed any further details about the TV series yet.
