Many actors have ‘gone method’ in intense ways to give a more authentic performance on screen. Actors like Christian Bale and Daniel Day-Lewis are known for their complete commitment to the character even when the camera is off. “I had a really, really intense silent car ride to set. The car ride was basically the whole thing, you know? So that kind of charged me up with enough silence that I needed for the rest of the shoot.”
