The Peacemaker brought out the versatility of John Cena. The show quickly captivated the audience’s attention, making it a must-watch among the fans of the DC Universe. James Gunn’s grand storyline coupled with Cena’s portrayal of The Peacemaker, the series had much to offer. While on the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast, Cena spoke up about how he is not aware whether there will be a second season. However, he expressed how he hopes there will be a second season.

While it was announced a while back that there would be a second season, there were no announcements of the second season coming anytime soon. Back in January when the list of projects was announced to be taken up next by Gunn and the DC universe, The Peacemaker Season 2 did not make up the list.

While talking about the Peacemaker and the DC universe, John Cena was all praise about Gunn taking on the DC leadership, considering him a worthy captain of the DC world.

“I hope so. What I will say is I’m very excited about the new leadership at DC because I love James Gunn as a human being and Peter Safran as well. I have the utmost respect for them as professionals. I’ve never seen people so prepared and who take it so serious and have so much passion for it and aren’t afraid to be themselves.”

Continuing on Cena declared that what fans would see in the near future in the DC universe would be the heart of Gunn.

“So whether the future of DC involves ‘Peacemaker’ or not, as a fan and as a friend of James, I’m excited for the future of DC.”

It would certainly be exciting to see what James Gunn has in store for the DC Universe, already seen his caliber and vision in the Marvel Universe. Whether or not Peacemaker comes back with a season 2, the fans of the series must be excited to know that Peacemaker will be returning in the Waller Max series.
