John Krasinski and Emily Blunt can not get enough of each other both on and off screen, they have been beside each other for 15 years, and have helped each other through thick and thin, becoming one of the most beloved couples in the movie industry. The actor is so much in love with his wife that he watched The Devil Wears Prada, as Emily Blunt starred in her breakout role.
Back in 2018, when the couple was a guest on The Graham Norton Show, Krasinski shared that he had watched the film a total of 72 times “channel surfing” to watch the film.
“It’s one of those things that back in the day, us elderly people used to channel surf. Nobody does that anymore. It’s just one of those movies that whenever you’re going through the channels, you just stop and you look.”
Blunt added that her spouse was really invested in the film, and how one day when she returned home she saw him watching the montage scene in the film, where Hathaway was trying out different outfits in the sequence, and he says out loud “That’s my favorite outfit.”
“There’s a sort of montage sequence where Anne Hathaway’s got numerous fabulous outfits that they go through. And John, one day I came home, and he was watching it, and he was watching the montage bit. And he goes, ‘That’s my favourite outfit.’”
Without missing a beat The Office actor said that he was keen on dating Anne Hathaway, “I couldn’t get Annie and so I was like, ‘Ohhhh…’”. The comment made Norton laugh awkwardly but he was using his comical sarcasm to get a laugh from the audience.
Stephen Colbert Rejects Dinner Invitation From His Good Friend John Krasinski
Being a talented actor has its advantages and disadvantages, but having a wife who is more talented and renowned than them brings nothing but disadvantages. One such disadvantage is that when one invites their friend to a dinner, they would reject the offer as their famous half will not be at the event. Such was the case with Krasinski when he visited The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
In a hilarious conversation between the two, the Free Guy actor shared that he had invited his good friend Stephen Colbert for dinner but he rejected the offer because Blunt would not be present.
“Krasinsiki: I invited him to dinner tonight.
Colbert: And I said…
Krasinsiki: No.
Colbert: No! I first said, ‘Is his wife going to be there?’”
While the two had a hilarious exchange, John Krasinski mentioned that it was horrifying, to which the actor joked, “By the way I would only go if it was my wife, too.” Colbert jokingly replied that he did not want to act as a third wheel between them, as his wife is the draw, not him. The host looked at the camera and ensured that he was just joking, leading to one of the funniest conversations ever.
