Keanu Reeves’s spectacular franchises – John Wick and The Matrix Saga have helped the actor win the crown of underrated Hollywood royalty as far as his reputation is concerned. Reeves has worked for the film and action industry since the mid-to-late 80s but never once has his reach and fame extended so far as its current stage wherein the actor rests at the top unfettered and unruffled by the ruckus around him and the fandom that rests at his feet.

Keanu Reeves’s Resume Beyond John Wick and The Matrix

For Keanu Reeves, all the ruckus surrounding him is unwarranted. He could not be less bothered by the swirling mass of fame and celebrity he has inadvertently placed himself in by starring in two of the biggest, most influential, and genre-bending action genre films of all time. And despite Reeves’s uncontested contribution as both the Chosen One and the titular anti-hero John Wick, there lies a host of other cinematic achievements that are no less extraordinary with the actor’s name on them.

For one, Keanu Reeves has gathered a name for himself as an undercover surfer in Pointbreak, the risk-taking SWAT officer Jack Traven in Speed, a young, talented, and ambitious lawyer in The Devil’s Advocate, the solemnly loyal Scott Favor in the Shakespearean adaptation, My Own Private Idaho, and the titular volatile chain-smoking exorcist in Constantine. And from each of these films, the actor has picked up an item or two that has made up for quite a rare and expensive list of collectibles that one would easily sacrifice their right arm for.

Over the course of the decades in which Keanu Reeves has performed in Hollywood, the impossibly altruistic and down-to-earth actor has quietly acquired a list of items that are as enviable as they are iconic. During an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, Reeves has divulged what lies in his garage except the million dollars worth of motorcycles.

“I have kept a couple of things. I don’t have the surfboard, but I think I have a coat from the first Matrix. I have the sword from Hamlet, I kept a lot of working scripts, I have the jersey from The Replacements, I’ve got Constantine’s lighter and watch, I have Bill & Ted’s shorts (Ted’s shorts), I used to have the leather jacket from My Own Private Idaho but I gave that to a friend. And I think that’s it.”

Despite what Keanu Reeves has established himself as in recent times, the actor did begin as one half of the comedic duo that goes by Bill & Ted. The eponymous film rose to immense success, both critically and commercially, allowing Reeves to get his foot in the door to more major roles like the ones starring beside Al Pacino and River Phoenix before landing his own leading man job in Speed.

The Matrix Saga is now available for streaming on MAX.
