A fan-made poster (via Inside The Magic) recently went viral, in which Johnny Depp is seen as Captain Jack Sparrow ready for the upcoming movie titled Pirates of the Caribbean: Jack’s Revenge. The poster stated that the movie is scheduled for a release in December 2024 and described the movie as

Is Johnny Depp willing to return to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise?

According to reports by People, the actor hasn’t ruled out returning to Disney. A source close to the actor shared,

“Anything is possible. If it’s the right project, he’ll do it.”

But Daily Mail shared a statement from an anonymous source close to Depp, refuting the rumors of his return to Disney. The statement said,

“Insiders say that Depp is still smarting after the way that they dumped him when the wife-beating accusations first surfaced. ‘They blind dropped him even though Amber had lied her a** off’, says a friend. Although he said in Cannes that he doesn’t feel boycotted by Hollywood, Depp, a sensitive man, is angry about the way that the domestic abuse allegation played out and has decided that focusing on a life away from industry is the best thing for him.”
