Jonathan Majors, the Creed III, and Marvel star was arrested after being accused of assault and harassment by a 30-year-old woman on March 25th in Chelsea, Manhattan. The Police responded to a 911 call at 11 AM on Saturday, taking them to Majors’ apartment in Chelsea. According to them, the woman, his alleged girlfriend, claimed that she was assaulted by him in a cab while coming back home from a bar in Brooklyn.

An arrest was made immediately following suspicions of harassment, strangulation, and assault. The woman, who had minor injuries on her head and neck, was promptly escorted to the hospital at the same time. However, in a fairly recent development, the New York City Police Department informed that it was Jonathan Majors who made that 911 call that they initially responded to.

Jonathan Majors’ Lawyer Claims He Is Being Accused Wrongfully

Jonathan Majors was released from custody by Saturday night and charged with two counts of assault and attempted assault in the third degree as well as aggravated harassment and harassment in the second degree. Refuting the charges, his defense lawyer claimed that her client, is completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows.”

According to Priya Chaudhry, Majors’ lawyer, they are gathering evidence such as witness reports and video footage from the cab, where the alleged assault happened, to prove Majors’ innocence. Chaudhry claimed,

“…the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent,” and, “the NYPD is required to make an arrest in these situations, and this is the only reason Mr. Majors was arrested.”
