It seems there is a shortage of guys in the film industry, for after Taylor Swift, Hailee Steinfeld has been making news for dating the Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. The rumors of their romance started swirling up last year in the summer and since then both have, although not openly, but subtly given nods to their dating life.

While Allen seems to be more outspoken on the matter than his Oscar-nominated girlfriend, his ‘hints’ have not been exactly clear. However, during a recent interview, the NFL star hinted he might be breaking the rule of keeping his relationship private and accompanying his girlfriend to the 2024 Academy Awards ceremony.

Hailee Steinfeld is not a person too fond of dating, for after her short-lived romance with One Direction star Niall Horan in 2018, the actress only recently went viral for her relationship with NFL star Josh Allen. The two were first linked in May 2023 and since then have made their relationship public, while still remaining pretty tight-lipped about it (via Today).

After ‘accidentally’ confirming their relationship on the Pardon My Take podcast last year, Allen had remarked about dealing with paparazzi after their private moments went viral on the internet. He stated how he felt insecure over having no privacy.

And then again while talking to People in October last year, the Bills quarterback had remarked how he likes to stay under the radar, hinting that he prefers to keep his relationship private as well. However, Allen might be willing to break his one dating rule by potentially making his relationship with Steinfeld public at the Oscars.

While on the Up & Adams live show, he was asked about his Sherpa Jacket from Daniel Ricciardo’s clothing line, after his one appearance in the jacket sold it out. Asked if he’d be wearing it to the Oscars aka accompanying his girlfriend to their first Red Carpet appearance, Allen remarked ‘I may’.

Although Josh Allen was very vague in his answer, it seems that Hailee Steinfeld and he might be willing to officially make their relationship public after keeping a relatively low profile. Since May 2023, the two have been spotted dozens of times together with the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse actress spotted at nearly every Bills game the past season.

While the Most Girls hitmaker has yet to clearly acknowledge her romance with Allen, she did recently remark to an E! News host what isn’t it about when asked ‘What is it about a sportsy man?’ Furthermore, while on the Golden Globes red carpet, the actress corrected a USA Today reporter when she saw him holding the wrong Bills jersey.

After being spotted in Bills’ gear numerous times and also with Allen’s mother (via Heavy), it seems Steinfeld has finally found her coast and is heading in the right direction.
